[edit] Proxy Settings

When changing your browser to go through a proxy server, you will need to change the proxy settings in your browser. Please see the following tutorials:

[edit] Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer
  • Go to "Tool", then "Internet Options"
  • NOTE: If you are on a company computer, your IT dept might have restricted your account from making changes to these settings. If the settings are grayed out, chances are this is what happened.
Click on the "Connections" tab

Click on "Lan Settings"

Check the "Use Proxy Server" checkbox
Type in the IP address or hostname of the Proxy server you are trying to route through

Click "OK", then "OK" again to get back to the main IE page.
You are now done configuring the proxy server in IE

[edit] Firefox

Open Firefox to the main window
Click "Tools" then "Options"
Click the "Advanced" Button on the top

Select the "Network" tab, then click the "Settings" button

Select "Manual proxy configuration"

Type in the IP Address or host name of the proxy server you would like to route through
Click "OK" then "OK" again to exit back to the main Firefox screen
You are done configuring Firefox for the proxy server
