[edit] Kathmann Labs

This site is dedicated to the technology and projects that I've been working on over the course of my lifetime. I envision it to cover anything from basic concepts of electronics down to the most minuscule detail of that technology being used in a particular project. Electronics are everywhere, in cars, in your cell phone, in your TV, in your microwave, almost anything you touch nowadays is electronic but most people don't understand anything about technology (other than how to use it, and even then some people are behind the curve). I hope to help change that through this website, and possibly share some of the knowledge that I've been able to gather throughout the past several years. What I would like to show people, especially young people wanting to learn engineering and computers, is that there is more to technology than case modding. In most cases, this stuff isn't rocket science, and doesn't require multiple PhDs to learn.
My name is Nicholas Kathmann, and I am essentially just a technology / computer geek with what appears to be too much time on my hands. I’m hoping sooner or later to expand the people working on these projects, but that might just be wishful thinking. All of the projects detailed on this site have been initially funded by Kathmann Consulting, LLC, and will then be funded by sales of the actual project results (if applicable) and/or advertising on this site. I will try to ensure that the items are sold at low margins over what they actual cost, as I would eventually like to recoup the costs associated with each project. Although the items will be for sale, the schematics and code for most of the projects will also be available in the event that you wish you build it yourself (that's the point!). The sale of the items is for people who find the projects useful, but don't have the desire or means to build them themselves.

[edit] Helping out

If you would like to help out with the content on the website, either by modifying an existing project that's locked or by adding your own, please feel free to contact me at the below email address.
If you would like to help out financially, the best way is to buy something from the Amazon.com Wishlists on the left navigation bar. I try to keep them as organized as possible, but can't always manage them since they've gotten to be too large.
