This is a section of the website dedicated to WinBatch, a very powerful and yet remarkably easy to use Windows Scripting Language. There are many resources on WinBatch on the web and also in their own help files, but no courses designed to teach WinBatch. I'm going to try to fill that gap here, with what will eventually become a resource. As for now will go through simple programming concepts and how to use WinBatch to automate your processes.

First we will touch on what WinBatch is and what it isn't. WinBatch is a Windows Scripting Language meant to automate most of anything you can do on a desktop PC. This is heavily needed in corporate / academic / some home user environments since it eliminates the need to physically touch every computer you need to make the desired changes on. It is in many ways what Visual Basic Scripting is to Visual Basic, but with such an easy syntax and such powerful functions already implemented that someone with no to very little programming experience can do very powerful things. With that said, it is not a full blown Programming Language like you would expect from Java or .NET. It would be foolish to write a very large and complex system in WinBatch such as SAP, Oracle Applications, Peoplesoft, etc.

WinBatch is free to download and try for up to 30 days. After that you must purchase it.

We will start with some basic programming concepts that are universal to all Programming Languages and will help you understand the terminology used in the WinBatch specific pages.
