Hardware Projects

Hardware Projects can be anything hardware related. This includes embedded design, SBCs, microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs, small form factor PCs, server class machines, machines of different architectures, gaming hardware (like the XBOX 360 and PS3), clusters, etc. For the hardware related projects, I will at the very least provide links to the hardware, and information about how to purchase it directly. If the project involves a design, and is worthwhile for us to produce, we will. Those projects will include the schematics and source code (when applicable), and also a link to purchase the end product directly from us at a minimal markup. Hardware projects can become costly to duplicate from scratch, but not all are (such as the MSP430 Project.

Embedded Systems

Embedded Ethernet Project - The goal of this project is to create low cost and relatively simple to use devices capable of collecting data from digital and analog IO and send it to another device to be processed.

Zigbee Wireless Project - At a recent embedded systems conference, I came across a Zigbee wireless development kit that I just couldn't pass up. I haven't actually done anything with it yet, but plan to sometime soon (hopefully).

Texas Instruments MSP430 ultra-low powered MCU Project - At the same embedded systems conference, TI was demoing these MCUs and I just couldn't help myself. I have several development kits, but haven't done anything worthwhile just yet.

Small Hardware Systems

Mini-ITX Systems Project - Work with mini-itx architecture systems to provide low power, low heat, and low noise systems that are highly reliable.

802.11 Wireless

High Powered Wireless Embedded Project - The goal of this project is to create configurable wireless devices using SBCs and embedded linux. I have implemented several frequencies at different power, including 900mhz, 2.4GHz, and 5GHz.

Other Random Hardware Projects - I also have some other equipment available to work with. 1D/2D barcode scanners, Magnetic strip readers, RFID readers, HID readers, Smart card readers, ...
